Join us and help us shape our Party's national policy development by attending the first Policy Forum discussion for West Suffolk this February.
Date: Thursday 21st February
Time: 7pm
Place: Association Office, Park Farm Cottage, Park Farm Business Park. Fornham St Genevieve. IP28 6TS
The Conservative Party is a grass-roots party and we develop policy through involving our membership. Every few months therefore Conservative Party HQ sends each constituency a discussion paper for consideration, discussion and response. A full report is then prepared and sent directly to minister. So this is your chance to influence the Conservative Party's national policies directly.
Chaired by District and County Councillor Louis Busuttil, we promise a lively, informative and entertaining social evening.
OUR DISCUSSION PAPER FOR FEBRUARY IS: GLOBAL BRITAIN
What should Britain’s role be in the world? How can we maximise our soft power through our aid, trade, and security commitments? How can we make ourselves safer and create more trade in a dangerous world?
Our first policy discussion paper of 2019 is looking at Global Britain. Watch our brief introductory video above with CPF Chairman George Freeman MP.
A summary of responses to this paper will be sent to the Secretaries of State for Defence, International Trade and International Development; CPF Chairman, George Freeman MP; and the Prime Minister’s Policy Unit within a month of the closing date for submissions.
Please download the discussion paper below and register your attendance by clicking on ATTEND THIS EVENT below.
The next paper will be on Renewing our Democracy, one of the five areas covered by the Prime Minister’s Policy Commission, and will be published the week of 18th February. Thank you. We look forward to you attending and to hearing your ideas on this important topic.
