Rachel Hood, Chair of the West Suffolk Conservatives Association, and Nick Timothy CBE, our Parliamentary Candidate were delighted to present the Jill Simpson Award on Friday 14th June to Simon and Jill de Laat. The award is the gift of the Chair of the Association and is in recognition of someone who has gone that extra mile for the Association over the previous 12 months. It is the first time the award has been presented to two people but as members will know, Simon and Jill are everywhere, together. They proof read, they canvas, they deliver, they started a new branch last year whose AGM opened to the sound of pipes and raised vital funds for the organisation earlier in June. They are unstoppable really and it was wonderful to be able to recognise their contribution in this way - popular and worthy winners!
