Prior to her election in 2021 Sarah served for four years as Chair of the Wool Towns LEADER group, working with Suffolk County Council and DEFRA to award grant funding for entrepreneurs in her area to support farm diversification, culture, heritage and tourism projects and micro and small business support. No-till seed drills - frost fans for vineyards - re-purposing agricultural buildings into visitor centres, visitor accommodation, cafes and farm shops etc. The wide variety of projects demonstrated to Sarah that enterprise was alive in rural England but it needed support since often these are a single-owner or family organisation that don’t have a powerful voice.
Sarah currently represents Whepstead and Wickhambrook and regularly attends Parish Council meetings and other events. She was a Member of the Local Plan Working Group and served on Overview and Scrutiny before being appointed the West Suffolk Council representative on the Rural Services Network.
Sarah currently works at the Trainee Agent for West Suffolk Conservative Association and is also the Conservative Office Manager, working alongside the Agent for the General Election and the Campaign Manager.
